Recommendations: Do try that piece of code, it looks good. See how it works out – usually with any Javascript in your HTML, you’d want to place it between tags.
You’d definitely want to create the button class in HTML and add a class attribute for the btn--cart-checkout so the JavaScurpt is able to target your button’s functionality.
All brands have a page with their logos and badges for integration into websites, which are freely available, and in some cases have some code snippets you can readily embed in your code. In your case, this is Shopify’s page!
