WordPress shows an error – troubleshooting guide

Solution:
The issue occurs because there is whitespace at the very beginning of your wp-config.php file. PHP sends this whitespace to the browser, which can prevent headers from being sent properly.

How to fix it:

  • Open wp-config.php.
  • Remove any spaces, empty lines, echo, print, or other output before the opening <?php tag.
  • Ensure the file starts immediately with <?php with no preceding characters or lines.
