Why do my website emails go to spam?
Usually because they are sent by the web server itself, which mail providers treat with suspicion, and because the domain has no SPF, DKIM or DMARC records vouching for them. Both are fixable in an afternoon.
My contact form says "sent" but nothing arrives. Why?
The form hands the message to the server, which silently fails to deliver it. Nothing is logged, so it looks like it worked. Routing form email through an authenticated sending service fixes this and gives you a delivery log.
Do I need a paid email service?
For a low-volume site, a free tier of a transactional service is usually enough. For a store or anything sending thousands of messages, a paid plan costs a few pounds a month and is far cheaper than the orders you are losing.
Will this affect my normal business email?
No — it improves it. Correct authentication records protect all email from your domain, including staff mailboxes, and make it much harder for anyone to impersonate you.
