Is Firebase suitable for a serious business application?
Yes, for many. It powers apps with millions of users. The limits are around complex relational queries, heavy reporting and very high write volumes; where those matter we combine Firebase with Cloud SQL or a dedicated backend.
Our Firebase bill has jumped. Can you find out why?
Almost always yes. The usual causes are listeners that re-read whole collections, missing indexes, or a screen that fetches far more documents than it shows. We measure reads per screen, restructure the worst offenders and set budget alerts.
Are our Firestore security rules safe?
Many projects still run with test-mode rules that let anyone read or write everything. We audit the rules, write proper ones for each collection and test them with the Firebase emulator before deploying.
Can you migrate us off Firebase later?
Yes. Because we keep business logic in Cloud Functions rather than scattered through the client, moving it to Cloud Run, Node or Laravel later is a contained job, and Firestore data can be exported in full.
